When polled on LJ, I said I read my friendslist from bottom to top. But I read comments from top to bottom (which they didn't ask in that poll or if they did, I've forgotten).
Anyway, is that configurable?
Ah! From the KB:
"Comments are listed from oldest to newest."
No sign of that on the Known Issues list. Are you seeing your comments oldest to newest or newest to oldest?
Huh. I think I may have session info in those links but I can't figure out how to view them to see for sure. So next question, is there a way to get at the HTML? What if I want to insert a table or something a little fancier?
PS: I love Comet! It looks like this is going to be a wonderful product!
Ok, so say I leave a comment on someone else's post. Where does it go? Do I get notified when they reply? (I haven't but I wasn't sure if I was missing something.) Is there a "I left comments here" feature like with LJ that allows you to follow up on threads?
And speaking of, how come this doesn't have threaded comments because that's definitely one of the major things people I know love about LJ? :)
Update: In Comet 0.3 (?), you can now see follow ups to comments you've left places. Yay!
Arvind mentioned something that had been on my mind. That there's no way to identify SixAparters from the other people in the system. I tried to explain what I had been thinking but then figured out what I really meant was -- I'd love to see something like LJ Interests here. That's a pretty good way on LJ to find other people with matching interests and would allow us to identify "works for SixApart", "works on NotComet team", "works in Support", etc (based on what you put in your own interests).
Also, it would be nice to have a "view profile" link on the Account (and Comet) page.
How do the people on your Profile (in Connections) get sorted? It's tough to find people since it's not alphabetical.
Oh, I was hoping I could insert a person from my Commity into my post but I had to link to Arvind by hand.
Anyway, time to start my shift! Thanks for making such a fun product.
